We have been faithfully following the developments of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) crisis over the last few days. And today, at the direction of the Southern California Conference, we are announcing the transition of our Sabbath worship experiences to an online service until further notice. This decision was not an easy one to make as we love gathering in person, growing as a community, and worshipping together. However, we have decided to move forward in this direction in an attempt to be proactive in the protection of those who are most vulnerable, both, in our church and in our communities.
This does not mean church is cancelled. We at Kalēo believe that the Church is not the building, but the people. And the Church remains alive and thriving, both, inside and outside of worship spaces. Use this as an opportunity to worship with loved ones, pray for one another and for our world, and watch the message that will be uploaded on Sabbath morning (You will be able to find it on YouTube, Facebook, our website, and in our Kalēo Mobile App). This is not a time for social isolation, this is a time for responsible community building, and that is what we hope to accomplish during this season.
During this season, you will still have the opportunity to worship through giving. If you would like to give your tithe and offering, our online option remains available at:
Lastly, we also encourage everyone to listen to any recommendation coming from the CDC. Taking the proper health precautions can go a long way in these cases. Remember, COVID-19 (Coronavirus) is an ongoing development, and being proactive can be a game-changer.
Family, we love you, we remain connected, we remain a home, and our hope remains in Jesus. If you need pastoral support during this time, please do not hesitate to reach out to Pastor Manny at: 951-203-6132, firstname.lastname@example.org or Pastor Emman at 909-545-9028, email@example.com. We believe God at His word when, in His word, he promised, "'For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. Do not be afraid, for I myself will help you,' declares the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel." Isaiah 41:13-14
P.S. Please continue to check in as we will be giving updates as soon as we get them.
